There's a scene in Star Wars where our heroes are onboard the Millennium Falcon and Luke is learning to wield his new lightsaber against his first opponent – a Jedi Training Remote. 

This, is an exect replica of the prop used in that scene. It began as a 6" acrylic ceiling light globe from Home Depot. Each detail on the surface was researched and scratch built. Over 150 pieces were create to accurately detail the surface. The real prop had reflective tape on the inside of some of the holes so the set lights would make it look illuminated. I included that as well which means it lights up when hit with a flash.
