To go along with my Flux Capacitor, I created a set of the "Time Circuits" that are used to program the Delorean time machine. Instead of programming actual 7-segment digits, I created the LOOK of the lit characters with backlit transparency film. Each of the digits is made up of 5-7 layers of thin transparency, each adding a layer to the effect. Frosted plastic, color layer, lit segments, all segments, clear front layer. To create the complicated digit layers I used my new vinyl cutter. The little LEDs are real. It's a static piece, but I really love the end result.
