Part of my ongoing series of vintage ray guns discovered within everyday items.
The X-9 comes from a more civilized day of gilded spacecraft and gleaming rocketpacks. It was standard issue for flight jockeys and adventurers.
For the design I wanted something with a Buck Rogers-era look. It is built almost entirely from junkstore finds, including a wee martini shaker and candlestick holders. The grip is hand carved from a block of solid cherry wood.
