This is a replica of the little fusion generator seen in Empire Strikes Back when Luke and Artoo crash land on Degobah. It's presumably how Artoo gets recharged on the swampy planet. Seems like something I should have had a while ago.

 

It's completely scratch built from MDF and resin cast parts. The atomic glow on the inside comes courtesy of an orange LED bulb.
